This course is designed to provide you with a solid understanding of the principles underpinning facilitation of workshops. It’s not going to be a magic potion – magically transforming you overnight into an expert facilitator. That takes a lot of practical experience and critical self-reflection every time you use these tools in a meeting or workshop setting.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Define facilitation and briefly outline it’s history
- Discuss the role of the facilitator
- Define the various levels of skill at which one can facilitate
- Outline your own approach to facilitation
- Understand the components that aid workshop success
- Plan and deliver a successful workshop
- Manage group dynamics effectively
- Utilise various tools to enhance your facilitation
